Our accommodation
You can choose from a range of accommodation at our campsites on the Adriatic coast. We offer both two-bedroom and three-bedroom mobile homes. With Roan, you are sure to find a suitable mobile home on the Adriatic coast.
Our Premium and Comfort two-bedroom mobile homes come standard with free air conditioning and a wooden decking with a canopy or gazebo to relax on. At Spiaggia e Mare campsite you can also choose a Premium Relax two-bedroom mobile home with satellite TV and a luxurious lounge sofa on the decking. Our three-bedroom mobile homes Premium Lounge, Comfort Plus Lounge, Comfort Plus Relax and have satellite TV with Dutch channels, free air conditioning and a semi-covered wooden decking as standard.
Roan also offers an over the top mobile home rental on the Adriatic coast, the Supreme Lounge. The Supreme Lounge has three bedrooms and is equipped with even more extras; such as a very spacious semi-covered decking of 24 m2 with a large lounge sofa and a Nespresso coffee machine.

Cities and sights on the Adriatic coast
Are you staying at one of the following campsites during your holiday on the Adriatic coast: Villaggio Turistico Europa, Pra'delle Torri, San Francesco, Sant'Angelo, Mediterraneo, Ca'Savio, Union Lido and Marina di Venezia? Then the following cities and sights are definitely worth visiting:
- Romantic Venice is a real must-see during your holiday on the Adriatic coast. Stroll through the beautiful St Mark's Square and visit the famous Rialto Bridge. Don't forget to take an unforgettable boat trip on a Gondoletta.
- The large seaside resort of Lido di Jesolo has a 12 km shopping street! Here you can enjoy shopping. You will also find a beautiful promenade right by the sea with many restaurants.
- The island of Murano is close to Venice. Here you will find many shops with glass works of art.
- Historic Padua. This city has a beautiful city centre with the world-famous Sant Antonio cathedral.
- The Castello di Roncade. This is an extraordinary castle with beautiful gardens. Wine is grown here today and it is possible to take a tour of the castle which ends with a tasting.
- Close to Trieste, you will find one of the largest cave systems in the world. The Grotta Gigante offers an extensive underground corridor system through which you can walk with a guide. Be sure to bring your camera.
- The golden island of Lido is located near Venice and is definitely worth a visit. Europe's first beach resort was built here at the end of the 19th century. Here you will find many beautiful villas and expensive hotels with beautifully landscaped private beaches. There is also a long street with many shops and restaurants.
- The city of Treviso has beautiful squares and beautifully painted churches. Here you are away from mass tourism and can enjoy strolling around. In addition, prices are a lot lower than in Venice, for example.
- Visit Grado's lagoon. Here you will find the Santuario della Madonna di Barbana on the neighbouring island of Barbana.
- Eraclea Mare is also called the green pearl of the Adriatic coast and for good reason.
- If you like markets, once a week you can visit the farmers' market in the centre of Ca' Savio and buy the typical vegetables of the Cavallino-Treporti area.
- From Caorle, you can easily settle down on the 18-kilometre-long sandy beach.
- If you stay in Bibione, you can visit the zoo Parco Zoo Punta Verde, which is a stone's throw away.
The following towns and sights are worth visiting when staying in a campsite on the Adriatic coast, located below Venice (campsites Tahiti, Spiaggia e Mare and Rubicone):
- The Po Delta is a national park which also has a spot on UNESCO's World Heritage List. You can discover this nature reserve by renting a bike. It is also possible to discover the area by boat or on horseback.
- The old town of Commachio consists of many narrow canals and cosy squares. The authentic houses exude the Italian atmosphere.
- Visit the beautiful city of Ravenna. This city is one of Italy's most important economic and cultural centres. Must-sees are the mosaics in the Basilica of San Vitale and the tomb of Empress Galla Placidia.
- The town of Ferrera surrounded by a 9 km long wall is also worth a visit. The square castle with four towers is a real eye-catcher.
- The mini-state of San Marino is just 61 square kilometres. Here you can shop duty-free and besides, the panoramic views are worthwhile.
- The bustling seaside resort of Rimini with numerous bars, restaurants and plenty of shops. During the day, most tourists use the large and long beach. In the evening, Rimini looks very different and the nightlife gets going.
- The beautiful city of Bologna is highly recommended. Here, shopping enthusiasts can indulge themselves. In the Galleria Cavour, for example, you will find expensive brands such as Armani and Louis Vuitton. Via San Felice has many shops for every purse. Piazza Maggiore square with the beautiful Saint Petronius Basilica is a real must-see.
- The famous city of Venice can be reached within 1 hour to 1.5 hours, often campsites themselves organise day trips. You can easily sail across from Punta Sabbioni.
- Also the smaller picturesque villages of Lido Delle Nazioni, Porto Garibaldi and Isolaverde have top campsites with the best facilities.
Amusement parks on the Adriatic coast
If you are holidaying at one of the campsites Villaggio Turistico Europa, Pra'delle Torri, San Francesco, Sant'Angelo, Mediterraneo, Ca'Savio, Union Lido or Marina di Venezia, the following amusement parks are also fun to visit:
- The Jesolandia theme park. Here your children will have endless fun in the many attractions. For example, there is a roller coaster and a white-water ride.
- A great outing for the children is the Jolly Roger pirate boat. You sail along the coast on a real pirate boat. During the trip, you will hunt for treasure.
- Spend a day at Italy's largest aqua park, Aqualandia. Here you will find many exciting slides, wonderful shows and a climbing wall.
If you stay at one of the Tahiti, Spiaggia e Mare or Rubicone campsites, the following is more fun to do:
- Mirabilandia amusement park. This is a large amusement park for young and old with many attractions. You will find various water attractions and large roller coasters.
- The park Italia in Miniature. This park is similar to Madurodam in the Netherlands.
- Fiabilandia is a fun amusement park aimed at the little ones. Here you will find several attractions including a white water ride and the space mouse roller coaster.
- Aquafan aquapark is known for its many slides. The 90-metre Kamikaze slide, for example, is here. In addition, the Extreme river slide is a must. Here you slide down on a rubber tyre.
- Come face to face with dolphins in the Oltremare park near Riccione. Here there is a beautiful lagoon where you can admire the dolphins.
The climate on the Adriatic coast
In April, the average temperature is around 20 degrees and in July and August it can get quite warm with temperatures around 30 degrees. In September, with around 24 degrees, it is great after-summer. The sea temperature in April is around 14 degrees, in July and August around 26 degrees and in September the sea temperature averages 23 degrees.
Eating on the Adriatic coast
On the Adriatic coast, people eat a lot of fish. This often includes anchovies and swordfish. In addition, you can eat several traditional pastas, pizzas and the freshest ice cream. A typical local dish served on the Adriatic coast is Polenta. This is a delicious warm corn cake that you should definitely try. Furthermore, many dishes with fresh fish and seafood are served. Another must is Piadina Romagnola. This is a flatbread which is freshly prepared in the kitchen and served out of the oven. The day is often started with a cappuccino and a sweet roll.
